Hi all, i am a mother of three, all my children are now adults, how we got here i do not know, im married also and its so hard some days.
I have two adult sons who both have autism and both have communication disorder, one has hyperactivity but not enough for diagnosis of adhd. The other has asd with communication disorder, global development delay and extreme challenging behavior. I also have a daughter with mental health issues and complex eating disorder and just came out of supported living.
My husband has diabetes, ankylosing spondylitis with neuropathy and arthritis and has limited mobility.
This week my husband’s blood sugars dropped and i luckily had glucose handy to help and he was okay. Just hard moving him, hard to explain. My autistic son had a complete change of routine which we were only told a couple of days in advance which resulted in a meltdown and caused him to run in front of traffic, he ran off and i found out later he was not hit but he got to hospital after running away and i managed to catch him later, then was seen by mh services, in the meantime my other son saw him having a meltdown and this triggered him and also had a meltdown before and when in the hospital. Its been a long hard week.
Sorry for long post but thats my family in a nutshell. Thanks for reading. Would be interested to know anyone else who has more then one to care for.
